This new Welsh Medium primary school will replace the existing Ysgol Y Ferch O’r Sgêr on the Corneli site, accommodating 420 pupils aged 4-11 as well as 60 nursery pupils.

This new Welsh Medium primary school will replace the existing Ysgol Y Ferch O’r Sgêr on the Corneli site, accommodating 420 pupils aged 4-11 as well as 60 nursery pupils.

The school is a 2FE and will feature two nursery classrooms, two reception classrooms, four infant classrooms and eight junior classrooms. Featuring spacious, modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, the new school will provide 21st-century learning environments designed to inspire creativity and engagement among learners. It will operate as a net-zero carbon facility, constructed using sustainable materials and incorporating energy-efficient technologies.

With expansive playgrounds, green spaces and sports facilities, the exterior will be designed to encourage physical activity and exploration.

Created from an amalgamation of Corneli Primary School and Afon-Y-Felin Primary School, this new English Medium school in South Cornelly will provide education for children aged 3-11, including 15 places for those with additional learning needs (ALN).

The school will be organised with two nursery, two reception classrooms, four infant classrooms and eight junior classrooms. A food / science classroom and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision for 15 places will be provided.The new school will feature spacious, modern classrooms equipped with the latest technology, providing 21st-century learning environments designed to inspire creativity and engagement among learners.
