The Coleg Sir Gar project is the redevelopment of the existing Pibwrlwyd Campus in Carmarthen. To reflect the College’s status as a WorldSkills Centre of Excellence, the project includes the delivery of new state-of-the-art facilities for a range of technical skills including construction, catering and creative arts. Once the new buildings have been delivered the existing buildings will be demolished and the site relandscaped.

The Coleg Sir Gar project is the redevelopment of the existing Pibwrlwyd Campus in Carmarthen. The campus will house students aged 14–19, as well as apprentices, higher education students and adult learners.

A mix of vocational courses will be offered, including animal science, business, construction, catering, and Independent Learning Skills (ILS). The creative arts element of the facilities will include textiles, digital arts, animation, photography, painting, installation, media, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, games design and sculpture.
The facilities will be available to the community and local businesses.

The new campus in Carmarthen, ‘Campws Gaerfyrddin’ represents a visionary leap forward in vocational education and training. Combining advanced technology and contemporary sustainable design, this campus will elevate the learner experience and serve as a focal point and cornerstone for economic growth across Carmarthenshire.

This in turn will allow them to move confidently into their chosen career path or continue on their lifelong learning journey.
